The popular Portland Auto Show runs through Sunday at the Oregon Convention Center and features everything from drag racing cars to modern electric vehicles powered by solar stations.
The auto show's eco-friendly vehicle showcase has expanded to include the Nissan Leaf, the Chevy Volt and other battery-powered or hybrid cars.
Unlike last year’s show, which had a notably smaller dedicated
green car area, the show this time around set aside around 30,000 square feet of floor space to showcase green car technologies. It has reportedly beaten a variety of muscle cars off the starting block, as well as roaring past the Tesla Motors Roadster electric luxury car.
